Tributaries: I like to think of the mind as a vast world of discovery of the home that is one self. Over time, uncertainties persist, and I find myself returning to questions time and again, unable to fully map myself. Do we start at the ocean, or on the mountain? Do we simply journey around and around, constantly navigating and discovering amongst the unchartered territories of consciousness? Is the journey toward a great vast ocean, or the mountainous island filled with wildlife unknown? Do we come into existence in one space and how we navigate the world around us through experience and action determines our essence of self? Does our mind form oceans, lakes, rivers, tributaries to travel home to, and that is the map that is life experience leading back home to self time and time again?
Train of thought: the conversational practice of staying fully on topic entirely alludes me. This train has left the station, and will go any and every which way to reach its destination. Truth be told, it will never go straight there and attempting keeping a map may prove an entirely fruitless task for any amateur. We’re taking that unchartered long way around, better be ready for quite the ride..
